Have you always wanted to learn sign language? Well here is your opportunity!

Do you have a friend, family member, or coworker who uses sign language and you wish you could ask them about their day? Maybe you are experiencing hearing loss and want to learn some sign language. Join us to learn basic sign as well as communication tips when interacting with Deaf and hard of hearing people.

Instructor Sarah Benton is a full-time faculty member at CCC and has taught both ASL and Interpreting Studies at the college since 2011. While her mom who was Deaf has passed, she carries the desire to improve information access for Deaf and hard of hearing members of our community.

This course meets on the following 8 Tuesdays: March 4, 18, 25, April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29. Please note there is no class on March 11 which is the week of Spring Break.

• If you are bringing a child, the minimum age for this course is 10.
• The registration fee is waived for children 17 and under.
• Please limit your registration to one child per adult.
