Why do we avoid things we care about, repeat patterns that are not working, or wait to feel motivated before taking action? This practical course explores why our brains get stuck in cycles of procrastination, perfectionism, avoidance, anxiety, and overwhelm.

Participants will learn research-informed strategies for recognizing what is getting in the way, responding differently to uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, and taking manageable steps toward what matters to them. Each session will include practical examples, guided activities, individual reflection, and tools participants can use in everyday life.

This is an educational, skills-based course, not group therapy. Participants will be welcome to share their thoughts and experiences with the class, but personal disclosure will never be required.

Instructor Dr. Olivia Stull is the founder of Learning with Dr. Liv, LLC, where she provides education and consultation on topics related to neurodiversity, executive functioning, motivation, stress, and human behavior. She holds a PhD in Counseling Psychology and has extensive experience developing and facilitating psychoeducational programs in hospitals, classrooms, colleges, nonprofit organizations, counseling centers, and community settings. Her workshops are designed to make complex psychological concepts approachable, engaging, and genuinely useful.  

This class meets on four Tuesdays: Nov. 10, 17, 24, Dec. 1, from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
